Acme Ink opened in 1996 on Baxter Avenue as Louisville’s only custom tattoo studio. In 2006, the shop moved to a larger space at 2007 Bonnycastle Avenue to facilitate its growth. Acme has remained a shop specializing in custom work – artists emphasize originality in their designs, resulting in tattoos created specifically for each customer.
Acme Ink is committed to cleanliness and safety as well as artistic integrity, scoring a 100 in the Tattoo Studio Inspection Report conducted by the Kentucky Department for Public Health.
